As President and CEO of United Way of Central Texas, Veshell Green is poised to lead the organization into an exciting new chapter, bringing her strong leadership, extensive community ties, and deep-rooted passion for service to the forefront. A dedicated city leader and community advocate, Veshell is committed to fostering growth, collaboration, and meaningful change across the region.
In her role, Veshell oversees the vision and strategic direction of United Way of Central Texas, managing the public relations department and ensuring the organization’s message remains consistent, timely, and relevant. Her leadership focuses on strengthening community partnerships, amplifying the organization’s impact, and addressing the most pressing needs of Central Texas residents. Veshell brings nearly 15 years of event planning expertise, almost a decade of experience as a Workforce Development Specialist with Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, and a lifetime of community service. Her ability to connect people, resources, and opportunities has been a driving force in her career and continues to shape her work today.
Previously, Veshell served as a Donor Services Recruiter with Baylor Scott & White Health for three years, where her talent for storytelling brought donor experiences to life through features in newspapers, magazines, and local news stations—highlighting the power of giving and community impact. Beyond her professional work, Veshell remains deeply engaged in community service. She actively supports a nonprofit organization that hosts football camps, mentorship programs, and backpack giveaways, empowering youth and families throughout Central Texas.
Veshell holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Park University and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M–Central Texas. With a strong vision and a heart for service, Veshell Green stands as a powerful advocate for Central Texas, dedicated to creating lasting change and ensuring United Way continues to be a cornerstone of hope, support, and opportunity for all.
